A week or so ago I listened to President Pingree talking to our new missionaries. From that talk gave me a thought for a poem. As usual it takes time to "cook in my brain". Time to receive the needed inspiration.

In Our Day

We have an invitation that is just for you!

It’s all about Christ’s Gospel so very true.

Did you know you are a child of God?

That Christ walked on ancient American sod?

Good news we have to share with you

That God lives and cares about you too.

His church has been restored to earth.

Your life has more than mortal worth.

God has called prophets in our day

So we can always in His pathway stay.

We are more than this mortal birth

We are children of royal worth.

You can study, pray and learn.

For God’s truth your soul will yearn.

In our day God answers if you pray

His light can guide you every day.
