February 10th, 2014

Today we started mission office training. Wonderful instructors. Although it was all things that Craig knew, I was really glad to be there. We had a very special couple speak to us in the afternoon-the Bolligers- they returned recently as missionaries in the Kentucky Mission. One of the things they talked about was their "Tender Mercy" Jar / with  fruit snacks- if you wrote a tender mercy that you had received on a sticky note then you got a fruit snack. They kept all these tender mercies in a notebook that anyone who came to the office could read.
After class we headed back to the cafeteria for dinner. On the way we were joined by a group of elders headed to dinner also. It turns out that 3 of them were headed to our mission this weekend! That was our tender mercy for the day- to meet someone going to the same mission that we are. We are so grateful for all that we are learning and all that lies ahead! We have the faith that Heavenly Father will help us, guide and teach us as we serve him in Houston, Texas.
